Children's Artwork

Image
Hey there :) This week I have been pondering a lot about my children's artwork. Specifically, I like to do a lot of art with their hands and feet and make little pictures with them on canvases or papers and display them around our house. I think it's so fun to see their artwork all over, but sometimes it gets overwhelming when I step back and look at my walls.  I have been thinking for a while about how I can better preserve their artwork... their tiny little hands and feet... but still keeping a minimalist home with minimal artwork on my walls. After some time, I think I have figured it out! I hope to use sketchbooks to preserve pieces that I want to keep. I am going to start putting little pumpkin hand prints and Christmas trees with little feet inside these sketchbooks, rather than on canvases. This way, I get to see their growth and enjoy the art all at the same time! And then I won't have a lot of things on the walls. Plus, I can tape whatever piece of paper they worke...

The beginning

My name is Megs. I am a mama to two beautiful children. I am an avid reader, gardener, and hiking enthusiast. I am married to the most incredible man who is currently in PA school, working so hard and is the greatest example to me and our kids. I am an aspiring minimalist, trying to declutter my home and mind so I can be more present and more relaxed.  I hope to inspire people who are seeking the same lifestyle while also holding myself accountable for writing about my journey and making this like a journal so I can come back to it and reflect on my progress.  Here's to a more simple and peaceful life. With love, Mama Megs
