Children's Artwork
Hey there :)
This week I have been pondering a lot about my children's artwork. Specifically, I like to do a lot of art with their hands and feet and make little pictures with them on canvases or papers and display them around our house. I think it's so fun to see their artwork all over, but sometimes it gets overwhelming when I step back and look at my walls.
I have been thinking for a while about how I can better preserve their artwork... their tiny little hands and feet... but still keeping a minimalist home with minimal artwork on my walls. After some time, I think I have figured it out!
I hope to use sketchbooks to preserve pieces that I want to keep. I am going to start putting little pumpkin hand prints and Christmas trees with little feet inside these sketchbooks, rather than on canvases. This way, I get to see their growth and enjoy the art all at the same time! And then I won't have a lot of things on the walls. Plus, I can tape whatever piece of paper they worked on inside the book as well.
I will report back about this at another time. This is my note to myself to do this.
Here's to simplifying our walls :)
With love,
Mama Megs
